Brandon Nieva’S Two Home Runs Leads Terriers To 6-3 Win
Brandon Nieva’s bat accounted for all of the Senior Terriers six runs in last night’s game against the Ontario Outlaws. Trailing by the score of 2-0 in the fourth inning Nieva hit his first of two home runs scoring Joe Tevlin who had singled earlier in the inning. Down again 3-2 an inning later, Jack Omstead and Elliott Curtis walked and Joe Tevlin reached on an infield single to load the bases. Nieva followed with an infield single to tie the game again.
Still tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Curtis and Tevlin walked to set up a three run mammoth blast to right field by Nieva to complete the scoring.
Wil Hotta started and went four innings giving way to Alex Wall who threw the last five innings to garner the win.
The Terriers open a four game home and home series against the Ontario Royals this coming weekend.
