Terriers Split Day One In New Jersey
Fresh off winning the NTN tournament in Buffalo last week, the SR Terriers lost game one 10-5 but bounced back to win game two at their second tournament of the fall season at Diamond Nation in Flemington NJ Monday night. Pierce Montgomery no hit TNT Baseball (NJ)‎ through four innings and the Terriers rolled to a 10-0 win. A three run rally in the first inning got the troops rolling, led by a laser two RBI single by Brandon Job.

Ryan O'Halloran and Josh Simpson scored on the play. Nolan Gallo picked up an RBI later in the inning with a single, scoring Jack Omstead. The game was put away in the bottom of the third when the offense struck for six more runs. The big blow came off the bat of lead off hitter Connor Humphrey. With Nick Parsons, Owen Maize and Andre Campbell on base, Humphrey stepped in and smashed a three RBI triple to the left center field gap to clear the bases and make the score 9-0. Owen Maize ended the game by the 10-0 mercy rule with a bases loaded RBI single in the fifth. In the game one loss Ryan O'Halloran, Brandon Job, Josh Simpson and Connor Humphrey all had two hits. The tournament continues on Tuesday with the playoff round starting Wednesday.
