17U Terriers Defeat Ny Steelheads 1-0
The 17U Terriers came away with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday at Diamond Nation in New Jersey. This game was highlighted by outstanding pitching and several defensive gems by the Terriers. They would score the only run they would need in the sixth when Devon Yogendran scored on a passed ball. Evan Harrison got the nod on the mound and he delivered four innings of masterful work. Evan gave way to Andrew Giorno who worked the final three.

Between them, Andrew and Evan only needed 78 pitches to put the Steelheads away. The right-handers ‎had plenty of help from their defense throughout this hard fought game. Brenden McQuinn and Matt Kemp both made sensational catches in the outfield and catcher Cristian Forgione threw out the tying run at second base in the seventh. Kevin McQuinn and Joe Tevlin both had two hits for the winners. The tournament continues on Wednesday.
