15U Advance To Final In 7Th Inning Thriller
After going two and one in pool play with winning efforts from pitchers John Filice and Andrius Jurenas the 15u Terriers won a thrilling semi final game at the 2016 Brawl in the Fall Tournament. In the tight hard fought tilt‎, the Ontario Outlaws took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third off Terrier starter Liam Carey. That would be all Liam would surrender on this day as he would record the seven inning complete game victory with four strike outs and just one walk.

He was outstanding. The Terriers knocked on the door in the third and fifth with hits from Jackson Evans and Ben Baker but could not push across the tying run. Down to their final three outs in the bottom of the seventh, John Filice would lead the inning off with a hard hit single to the left center field‎ gap. Andrius Jurenas was called on to pitch run for Filice and he would steal second to put the tying run in scoring position. Ethan Magloughlin was next in and he delivered a clutch RBI double into the right field corner, scoring Jurenas. 1-1. Ethan then advanced to third on a perfect sac bunt by Jake Cellupica. That put the winning run 90 feet away and with a sac fly by catcher Ben Baker the Terriers walked off with a 2-1 victory and advanced to the championship game.
