2017 College Round Up..... Week Two
In NCAA D1 action at the Annual Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte Florida, TJ Baker was 1-4 with a run scored in St. Bonaventure's 8-7 victory over Dartmouth. TJ was a roster player on the Terriers 2011 17u World Series Championship team and is now a SR in college. Ellliot Curtis picked ‎up his first NCAA D1 hit in a mid week game in Nashville at Lipscomb University. Elliott was 1-2 with a run scored for Middle Tennessee State.

The Blue Raiders fell 3-2. This past weekend freshman catcher Joe Tevlin back stopped his first NCAA D1 shutout‎, a 4-0 win over Norfolk State. Joe and fellow Terrier alumni Geoff Seto and Joel Brophy have the NU Purple Eagles at 3-3 on the young season. Stony Brook's Sam Turcotte made his NCAA D1 debut as a starter on Saturday in South Carolina versus Presbyterian.‎ Sam fired 4.2 innings, struck out six and walked two. He faced 20 hitters and allowed just one earned run. On Sunday team mate Toby Handley, also a member of the 2011 Terriers WS Championship team, tripled in a 2-1 loss. It was Toby's 11th career triple which moves him into sixth on the Seawolves all time list. In Virginia, The University of Richmond Spiders were hosting ‎NCAA D1 Toledo and Binghamton in a three team series. On Saturday with the scored tied 1-1, Luke Tevlin stepped in for the BU Bearcats and sent a clutch two run double to center field to make the score 3-1. Binghamton scored four times in the inning and never looked back on route to a 9-3 victory. Luke also scored twice to go along with the RBIs. On Sunday Luke smacked another hit‎ and had an RBI in the Bearcats win over Richmond. BU is 3-3. Canisius College won both ends of it's DH on Saturday in Lake Point, GA. 8-1 over Chicago State and 6-1 over NJIT. 3B Liam Wilson was 4-5 in the win over Chicago State. Liam is hitting. 357 for the 5-2 Griffs. Lefty Christian Lazar has 3.1 IP under his belt so far this season for the University of Sioux Falls Cougars. Opponents are hitting just .250 off Lazar. Kyle MacDonald continues to stay hot at the plate for the Crowder College Roughriders. Kyle is second on the team in both RBI (13) and runs scored (17). His SLG% is a staggering .674
