College Round Up.....Week 7
RHP Sam Turcotte‎ got his first NCAA D1 college victory this past weekend for the Stony Brook Seawolves. Sam fanned nine Sacred Heart hitters through 6.2 innings of work. He allowed just five hits in the 9-3 victory. Quoting Head Coach Matt Senk... "This was a great start to the weekend. Pitching, more often than not, sets the tone for the game and Sam Turcotte gave us a terrific start." Sam also got help from fellow Terrier alumni Toby Handley.

Toby was 3-5 with 3 RBI and a run scored. Toby has been on fire offensively of late and is a big reason the Seawolves are in the midst of a seven game winning streak. ‎He has had 11 hits in that span, is hitting .315 and has a. 556 SLG% Joel Brophy had a massive game at the plate versus Quinnipiac on Saturday. In the 10-2 win, Joel was 3-5 with 4 RBI and a run scored. SR RHP Matt Beaton leads the Eastern Michigan Eagles in appearances (14) so far this season. Matt picked up credit for the win in their 7-5 victory over Miami of Ohio on the weekend. Matt has his ERA down to 3.47 ‎Luke Tevlin was 2-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in a Binghamton Bearcat 9-1 over America East conference rival UMBC Saturday.
