College Round Up.....Week 8
After falling 8-3 in the opening game against Siena College, the Canisius Golden Griffins fought to a 4-2 victory in game two in Loudonville NY on Friday. Liam Wilson led the Canisius offense, drilling a two run homer and added an insurance RBI in the sixth inning. The Griffs improved to 19-14 on the season. The Binghamton Bearcats swept three from conference rival Albany‎ with a 7-2 win Friday and the double header sweep Saturday (4-3, 3-0).

Luke Tevlin was .400 on the weekend going 4-10. He had two RBI. The Bearcats are 6-0 in America East Conference play and 16-7 overall. The Roane State Raiders took down Southwest Tennessee 11-2 this past week. DH Jake Sims went 2-3 in the contest with a walk, two runs scored and five RBI. The Crowder College Roughriders continue to cause offensive havoc on opposing pitching staffs. In 46 games they have scored 391 runs and have a team batting average of. 328. They have smashed 44 home runs of which Terrier alumni Kyle MacDonald has nine. Kyle is hitting .344 and has a. 604 SLG%. ‎The only Terrier alumni in history that has three roles on an NCAA D1 roster is TJ Baker. TJ DH's, plays first base and pitches for the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. TJ has appeared in 25 of the 28 games the 14-14 Bonnies have played. He is hitting .300 and has a .525 SLG%. In ten conference games Baker has his average up to. 375 and his slugging percentage at an unbelievable .719. He is also a gifted fielder, with a 1.000 FLD% on the entire season. On the pitching side TJ has fired 18.2 innings and opponents are hitting a paltry. 235. Quite a college career for the young man from Georgetown.
