* In Holly Springs NC the East Stroudsburg Warriors opened their season with a 3-2 loss to St.

Anselum. Zarley Cina homered in his NCAA D2 debut. As an encore, he hit another HR in The Warriors first win on Sunday. Zarley transferred from Niagara County Community College after two very successful seasons at the plate for the Thunderwolves. * In Jonesboro Arkansas Kyle MacDonald belted a solo homer that proved to be the gam‎e winner as the Arkansas State Red Wolves opened their season with a 1-0 victory over Illinois State. Kyle had the Red Wolves only two hits in the game. * In Nashville, Drew Dickerson helped the Youngstown State Penguins to an 8-4 win in their 2018 debut over Belmont University. Drew was 1-3 with two walks and two runs scored. * The NCAA D2 powerhouse St. Leo Lions are off to a 6-2 start. Jake Sims has smacked six hits including a homer and a double. ‎He has a pair of RBI and is slugging .417 ‎* The Canisius Golden Griffins opened their season in Port Charlotte Florida. After going 0-2 in their first two games the Griffs bounced back with a pair of wins over Ohio State University and the University of Milwaukee. Liam Wilson had three multiple hit games including a two for four effort in the 5-4 victory over Ohio State.
