15U Terriers Notch First Spring Win
The 15U Terriers rallied for eight runs in the top of the fifth on Saturday in St. Petersburg and went on to defeat Gatineau by a 15-5 score. Julian Russell and Evan Farrell helped the Terriers get out to an early 3-0 lead with RBI singles. Gatineau scratched their way back into the game and eventually took a one run lead into the fifth. It was short lived however as big blows by Tyson Gomm, Connor Brearly, Julian Russell and Kawshik Murali put the Terriers back on top.

Tiago Gulino delivered the eventual knock out punch with a bases clearing triple. An inning later red hot Tyson Gomm also smashed a triple. Andrius Jurenas, Ethan Magloughlin and Connor Brearly shared the pitching duties with two innings each. Ethan struck out four. The 16U Terriers remained undefeated with two more victories on Saturday. Game one was a 15-4 drubbing of Gatineau. Lefty Connor Carr- Ma‎tthews weaved his way through three scoreless innings on the mound. Daniel Freeman had a big day at the plate with five RBI including a double. Kevin McQuinn also smacked a double and had three RBI while Jakob Cellupica was two for two. Game two was much closer, a 6-5 nail biter over Tampa Elite. Connor O'Halloran drew the start and struck out six in two innings of excellent work. Righthander Michael Stremlaw also pitched two innings of scoreless ball. The offense was spread throughout the lineup led by Liam Bavington who had three RBI. Austin Gomm, Jack Iannuzzi, Kevin McQuinn, John Filice, Ben Baker and Connor O'Halloran all had hits in the winning effort.
