17U Terriers Take A Pair On Sunday
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY ! After splitting their DH with the Ontario Yankees on Saturday‎, the 17U Terriers came away with a Sunday sweep by scores of 4-1 and 6-0. RHP Owen MacNeil ‎got the call game one Sunday and was outstanding, hurling a complete game four hitter. Owen struck out seven Yankee hitters and did not walk a batter. The Terriers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a Dante Wright inside the park homer.

After Ethan Edwards cracked a single, Dante laced a ball to the Kings College mammoth left center field ‎gap and raced home. In the bottom of the third, center fielder Jamal Armstrong smacked a one out single to right then advanced to third when Ethan Edwards drilled a single of his own up the middle. Clean-up hitter Dante Wright was next in and he picked up his third RBI of the game with a single through the 3-4 hole, scoring Jamal. The fourth Terrier's run crossed when Parker Micucci delivered an RBI sac fly to left center field, scoring Edwards. The Yankees mustered one run off MacNeil in the sixth but that's as close as they would come. Make the final 4-1. ‎In game two the Terriers took advantage of the Yankee's pitcher's early command issues, scoring two in the first and three more in the second. The Terriers drew five walks and had a hit batter to take a 5-0 lead. Ethan Edwards and Dante Wright had RBI singles, while Zach Marriott had two RBI during the rallies. Michael Stremlaw cruised through four innings of shut-out ball on the mound before handing the ball over to ‎Karlis Mikelsteins who struck out two. The Terriers tacked on one more run in the bottom of the fifth after Parker Micucci singled, advanced on Zach Marriott's sac bunt and eventually scored on Logan Pellitiers's RBI ground out.
