Crunch Time At Caba World Series
The championship round at the at the CABA World Series in Cleveland Ohio is upon us. There are teams battling for the title from New York, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ontario. All three Terrier teams have advanced. The 16U Terriers are competing in the High School age bracket with 41 other teams while the 17U + 18U Terrier squads are battling in the 18U age bracket. The 16s came out of pool play with an outstanding ‎4-1 record, winning their pool.

They have advanced as the number two seed. Sixteen teams advance, so they will play the fifteenth seed Saturday night. The 17s were 3-1-1 out of pool play (4th seed) while the 18s were 3-2 (6th seed). Eight teams advance at the 18U level. To go all the way someone will have to bag three consecutive victories. Since 1987 this prestigious event has played host to over 450 players that have gone on to compete in professional baseball. 104 of them have made it to the Big Leagues. In Nashville at the SANDLOTT World Series the 15U Terriers got through pool play with a 2-1 record. They advanced to the 12 team playoff championship round Saturday afternoon as the eight seed only to be eliminated by Top Gun Baseball from Alabama. SANDLOTT Baseball is celebrating their 20th Anniversary Season. The Terriers have been attending the SANDLOTT World Series events for the past 13 years and have reigned victorious twice, winning the 18U championship in 2006 and the 17U championship in 2011.
