Austin Gomm Earns Scholarship To Vcu
Congratulations to the Gomm family on their son Austin's recent commitment to Virginia Commonwealth University (NCAA D1). Austin's hard work and excellent play since he joined the program last fall has led him to this outstanding achievement. VCU is a public research university founded in 1838 and is located in Richmond, Virginia. It is home to over 31,000 students offering 217 degree and certificate programs.

VCU is classified as a Tier 1 University with an overall National University rank of 156 and holds a rank of 48 among all public colleges and universities in the United States. This past June, Austin competed in Oklahoma at the prestigious Junior Sunbelt Tournament where he caught the eye of several scouts. He is also a member of the Ontario Youth Team that will vie for a national championship at the 2018 Canada Cup of Baseball in Moncton, New Brunswick later this month. The accolades continued this week when Austin was an early selection to the T12 Tournament. He will compete for Ontario Black at the Rogers Centre next month versus the best players from across the country. The VCU Rams are members of the Atlantic 10 Conference where they finished sixth on the regular season with a 14-10 record. The Rams were 34-23 (.596) overall. Continued success Austin!
