Austin Gomm Joins Junior National Team
Terriers infielder Austin Gomm's great year has been topped off with an invitation to join Canada's Junior National Team for their upcoming trip to Orlando‎. Congratulations to the Gomm family on this, Austin's latest honor. Since joining the Terriers program and now in his second year, Austin has racked up achievement ‎after achievement. This past June he was selected to compete at the Oklahoma JR Sunbelt Tournanament in McAlester, OK.

Austin had an outstanding week, helping his team to their best record in years at that event. In July the Terriers won the 18U CABA World Series. Austin's performance in Ohio was a key part of that championship, combining his outstanding inner diamond defense with clutch hitting. In August at the 17U Canada Cup National Championship Austin was named the tournament's top hitter. He was a major cog in Ontario's gold medal victory. On top of all that, Austin has also earned an NCAA Division I scholarship to Virginia Commonwealth University. We wish Austin a great trip with the JNT and continued success on and off the field.
