Terrier Alums Smash Homers Opening Weekend
College Round-up

The college baseball season opened this past weekend and Terrier alumni bats were booming. Joe Tevlin, Zarley Cina and Ryan O'Halloran all hit dingers.

Catcher Joe Tevlin had two hits including the home-run in the Niagara Purple Eagles season opener in Greesboro NC. Unfortunately Niagara fell 4-3 to North Carolina A+T. The Purple Eagles will move on to Albuquerque NM next weekend for a four game set against ‎the University of New Mexico.

East Stroudsburg University's outfielder Zarley Cina picked up this year as hot as he left off last year. The Warriors swept their season opening DH over St. Anselm in Holly Springs NC. In game one, with a 4-0 lead in the fifth and two runners on, Zarley launched a three run homer to left to put the Warriors up by seven. They would go on to an 8-4 win.

Out in California the Orange Coast Pirates have already played ten games and are off to a 9-1 start. Infielder Ryan O'Halloran is hitting .476, has an .500 OBP and a .810 SLG. Ryan has ten hits including the bomb he hit this past weekend in the Pirate's ninth victory.

The Arkansas State Red Wolves split their opening weekend DH in Nacogdoches Texas versus SF Austin. After dropping game one the Red Wolves roared back with an 11-2 decision in game two. 1B Kyle MacDonald reached base four times, had two hits, two RBI and scored twice.
