infielder Ryan O'Halloran is tearing it up at the plate for the Orange Coast
Pirates. Ryan leads the team in RBIs (11), is fourth in average with a .436 and
is second in SLG% with an impressive .615
The
Pirates are 13-3-1 (.794)
The Kentucky Wildcats swept three games from the Canisius Golden Griffins this past weekend.
In game two Elliott Curtis was 1-1 with a run scored for the Wildcats.
Fellow Terrier alumni Jacob Martins also had a hit for the Griffs in the loss.
The Arkansas State Red Wolves swept a pair of mid week games from Mississippi Valley.
In game one Kyle MacDonald picked up an RBI in a 4-2 victory.
Game two was a 10-0 blowout. Kyle was 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
The Red Wolves are 7-5.
RHP Ben Abram has a perfect 3-0 record for the 11-1 Oklahoma Sooners.
In a mid week contest versus Arkansas- Pine Bluff Ben picked up the win, allowing just three hits while striking out four. He did not walk a batter in the 8-0 decision.
In the back end of a DH on Saturday the Sooners completed a weekend sweep of Columbia.
Oklahoma's Head Coach Skip Johnson said, " When you are winning games and you go into the last game, you never know what's going to happen. They take the 2-1 lead, and (Ben) Abram pitched with some pride and the next three outs were really fast".
Ben ended up firing six innings and struck out seven in a 6-2 victory.
Oklahoma is 11-1.
