16s Win A Pair
The 16u Terriers played host to the Ontario Yankees Saturday afternoon at Kings College in Oakville. 


Game one  was a tight affair until the bottom of the sixth, then the Terriers batted around, scoring eight times ‎. The final score would be 8-0.

 

Quenton Race lead the way in the sixth with a lead off walk. He advanced to second on Ethan Magloughin's bunt single, then Tyson Gomm walked to load the bases. 

Josh Cote was next in and he too would walk, scoring Race to make it 1-0. 

With the bases still loaded Liam Bavington provided the game's decisive blow, a bullet line drive three RBI double to the fence in right center field. 4-0 Terriers.

 

The rally continued when Quenton stepped in for the second time in the inning and laced a two RBI single, scoring Bavington and Julian Russell.

The final two runs crossed when Ethan Magloughlin blasted a two RBI triple off the wall in right. Andrius Jurenas and Race scored on the play. 

 

Noah Mitchell picked up the victory on the mound. He struck out seven and allowed just three hits.

 

The Terriers prevailed by a 5-4 score in game two to push their record to 17-3.
