Hammill, O'Halloran, Gomm off to South Korea for World Cup
Congratulations to LHP Connor O'Halloran and infielders Elijha Hammill and Austin Gomm who have made Canada's Junior National Team 20- player roster for the U-18 World Cup of Baseball being held in Gijang South Korea from August 30- September 8, 2019. 

The Terrier threesome are coming off a six- game series against Australia that was played in Lismore. 

 

Austin had eight hits in the Australia series, seven singles and a triple. He had five RBI to go along with four runs scored. His batting average was .500

 

Elijha is the youngest player on the JNT.

He does not turn sixteen until November. In 17 ABs he collected four hits, including a triple. He scored six times and had three RBI. 

 

Connor fired four innings, allowed just two hits and struck out five Australian hitters. He walked just one. 

 

Canada will open the tournament on Friday, August 30th against China. Other competition in their pool come from the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Australia and host South Korea.
