Drafted by the Dodgers out of HS in the 26th round
Graduated from the University of Wisconsin where he played NCAA D1 baseball on scholarship
Drafted again in 1989 in the 6th round by the Red Sox and signed
Made his MLB debut in 1992 and went on to strike out 725 batters in his career
Selected to the MLB All- Star Game in 2001
Surpassing Fergie Jenkins, Quantrill pitched in 841 games- most ever by a Canadian in the history of MLB
Holds the Yankees record for most games pitched in a season(86, 2004)
Lead the league in appearances in 2001, 2002+2003
Did not walk more than 25 batters in a season through the final 10 years of his career
Will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame on June 19, 2010
Paul regularly speaks and reads to kids at various schools , including Camp Enterprise (Trent University) for Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow
He is a popular guest speaker at Baseball Ontario and Baseball Quebec clinics
