Pilots go 47-0

Austin Gomm had a pair of hits, three walks, a RBI and a stolen base as NAIA No. 1 LSU Shreveport swept a three-game series from Jarvis Christian. With the wins, the Pilots ended the regular season 47-0. They’ll take on Huston-Tillotson in Game 1 of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament.

Chee-Aloy chips in six hits

Outfielder Cameron Chee-Aloy stroked six hits, walked twice, drove in three and stole two bases in four games for the University of Illinois. He went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI and two stolen bases in a 3-1 win over Purdue.

Kwinter improves to 7-0

In what was likely his final start of the regular season, Russell Kwinter allowed three runs on five hits over five innings to lead the University of Chicago to an 18-3 Game 2 win over New York University. The left-hander walked a pair and struck out five. He improved his record to 7-0 and leads the team with a 2.97 ERA.

Brown tosses an innings

Right-hander Matt Brown worked an inning, allowing an unearned run on a walk in South Florida’s 10-9 loss to Bethune-Cookman. He struck out one.

Green, Hammill hit in Niagara series win

Niagara University took 2-of-3 from Sacred Heart with the help of Jason Green and Elijha Hammill.

Green produced four hits, a walk and was hit by two pitches. He went 3-for-3 with a walk and a hit by pitch in a Game 2 victory.

Hammill chipped in five hits, a walk, a RBI and three stolen bases.

Cote homers in Rockets win

Josh Cote hit a two-run home run in Toledo’s victory over Oakland University.

Pinkney collects four hits

Hugh Pinkney had two, two-hit games and combined it with a walk and three RBI to help Tulane win their three-game series against East Carolina.
