Gomm tabbed Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week
Austin Gomm had eight hits, a walk, nine RBI and a stolen base to help No. 1 LSU Shreveport to a 4-0 week. He went 4-for-4 with two triples and three RBI as the Pilots downed Texas Wesleyan in a midweek game. For his strong play, Gomm was named the Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Green homers three times
Niagara University catcher Jason Green hit three home runs, the first being a two-run shot in a midweek win over Canisius. He then left the yard twice in a Game 1 victory over Mount St. Mary’s, a two-run homer and a solo shot. He had a hit, three walks and a RBI combined in Game’s 2 and 3.
Hammill gets on
Green’s teammate, Elijha Hammill, had three hits, six walks, a RBI, a stolen base and was hit by a pitch in four games
Chee-Aloy has a hit
Outfielder Cameron Chee-Aloy had a hit and was hit by two pitches in two games for the University of Illinois.
Kwinter picks up a win
Left-hander Russell Kwinter threw four innings and allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk to lead the University of Chicago to a 25-8 win over Carleton. He struck out five and improved to 2-0,
