16U Terriers Advance To Final Game
The 16U Terriers started their 2010 fall season with an impressive 3-1 record this past weekend at the Terriers annual Brawl in the Fall host tournament in Cambridge, ON. Big wins against the Oakville Royals, Ottawa Canadians and Toronto Mets advances the Jr. Terriers to the championship game. On the mound, Brock Beirness threw 5 shut out innings with 3 strikeouts in the opening game of the tournament against Oakville.

Lefty Bruce Yari threw 6 shut out innings giving up just one hit in the Terriers only loss on Saturday afternoon. After rain on Saturday night forced the Terriers/Mets game to be postponed to Sunday afternoon, Ryan Grant threw 6 innings, striking out 4 while allowing just one earned run in a decisive 8-2 victory in the must win game. Leading the way offensively on the weekend were Hee Do Kim (4 hits, 2 RBI,1 run scored), Jake Gerovac (4 hits, 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored), Zach Choy (4 hits, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored) and Kevin Lucas (3 hits, 3 RBI).
