Terriers Sweep Syracuse
Vestal NY In game two Sunday afternoon on Binghamton University campus the SR Terriers completed a double header sweep of the Syracuse Chiefs. This game went back and fourth, with the lead changing three times. The Terriers eventually prevailed with a 6-5 win. The Chiefs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead off Terrier starter Dylan Grosul. The lead was cut to 3-2 in the bottom of the second when Brian Doran led off with a triple to the right center field gap.

He would score on a Mike Clouthier RBI single. After stealing second, Mike scored the Terriers second run on a throwing error by the Syracuse short stop. In the bottom of the third, the Cole Peragine notched the game at three after he lead off with a double and crossed on a Nathan Desouza RBI single. The teams traded two runs each taking them to the bottom of the seventh. Locked in a 5-5, Jordon Mountford lead off with a walk and was advanced by a Peragine sac bunt. This very well played game ended ugly as Jordon scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Christian Fearon had a great day at the plate with three singles, three stolen bases and two runs scored. Peragine made several excellent plays at shortstop, to help reliever Eric Hall pick up the win.
