Cal Quantrill Voted Top Rhp By Cbn
Terrier alumni Cal Quantrill was named the top 2014 college RHP this past week by the Canadian Baseball Network. ‎The annual honors are voted on by 18 coaches of elite programs from across Canada, college coaches, 17 writers, 11 scouts, 9 baseball executives and front-office staff, 3 former players and 1 agent. ‎Cal was the first freshman to start the season opener for Stanford University since Mike Mussina.

In what is arguably the toughest conference in all of college baseball, Cal garnered a 2.68 ERA. He struck out 98 and opponents hit just. 221. Quantrill also earned the Louisville Perfect Game All- American Award, PAC12 Freshman of the Year and All- PAC12 honors. Congratulations Cal. First baseman alumni Simon Clarke was selected to the CBN second team. Simon put up staggering offensive numbers at Odessa College in Texas. He had a. 419 OBP, .603 slugging percentage and a .351 average that included 10 doubles, a triple and 7 home runs.
