Congratulations to Tyler Valiquette and his family on Tyler's recent commitment to Monroe College in Rochester New York.

Head Coach Dave Brust was impressed with Tyler after a workout on campus in December. He has since offered Tyler a scholarship to become a Tribune. Tyler was outstanding on the mound this past season for Terriers 18u Manager Scott Vandevalk. Key outings included going the distance versus the Missouri Tigers at the Premier Baseball National Championship in July and also a seven inning gem against the Kentucky Cougars in Indianapolis. That win sent the Terriers to the championship game. Tyler's fastball has late sink and it is complimented by a tremendous change up. He also has a very good slider as part of his arsenal. He is a two time‎ CWOSSA High School Baseball champion and All Star. In addition Tyler pitched at the Tournament 12 and the JR Sunbelt in Oklahoma. Established in 1961,Monroe is nationally ranked and recognized as one of the most innovative community colleges in North America. It boasts state of the art facilities including a new astro turf baseball field. The Tribunes travel to Arizona for their spring trip and consistently compete for the NJCAA Region III, D2 crown. Tyler will be studying Business at MCC.
